Former Trump administration official Katie Miller said Tuesday that her youngest child has not received any vaccinations, using a public interview to argue that unvaccinated children can be healthier, a claim that has sparked strong reactions.

Miller, who is married to White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller, made the comments during a conversation with actress and former co-host of The View Jenny McCarthy. In the interview, Miller said she believes more young mothers are beginning to question childhood vaccination practices.

“I think more young moms, as they start asking the questions, are seeing what you and I both see, which is healthy children can do a lot better not being vaccinated,” Miller said.

Miller then shared details about her own family. She explained that her oldest child is fully vaccinated, while her youngest child has not been vaccinated at all. According to Miller, the experiences of her children shaped her views.

“I haven’t talked about this, but my oldest child is fully vaccinated, my youngest child is not vaccinated at all,” Miller said. She described health challenges with her first child, including a milk soy protein allergy and difficulties with breastfeeding.

Miller contrasted that experience with her third child, whom she said was fully breastfed until age one. “He is my healthiest child who never, ever gets sick,” she said. “He’s never been on antibiotics.” Miller went on to describe her child as having a strong immune system, saying that he rarely becomes ill.

McCarthy responded by echoing Miller’s perspective and sharing her own experiences speaking with parents over the years. McCarthy said she has spent more than a decade talking with mothers across the country who believe their children were harmed by vaccines or who chose not to vaccinate.

“Honestly, this is what I’ve heard,” McCarthy said. She explained that in conversations with parents, many claimed their unvaccinated children rarely get sick, have fewer allergies and have not needed frequent medical care.

McCarthy said parents often told her their unvaccinated children had not been to the doctor in years and seemed to have stronger immune systems. “It’s unbelievable how much healthier that generation is,” she concluded.

Miller is the mother of three children with her husband, Stephen Miller, all between the ages of two and five. She is currently expecting her fourth child. Her comments marked one of the few times she has spoken publicly in detail about her family’s health decisions.

The interview reflects a broader debate among parents over vaccination and childhood health, a topic that continues to generate controversy and strong opinions. Miller framed her remarks as part of a growing trend among mothers who she believes are questioning long-standing medical guidance and sharing personal experiences.

Neither Miller nor McCarthy cited scientific studies during the interview, focusing instead on anecdotal experiences and conversations with other parents. The remarks drew attention due to Miller’s high-profile connections and McCarthy’s long history of speaking publicly about vaccine-related issues.

The discussion adds to ongoing national conversations about parenting choices, public health and the role of personal experience in shaping views on medical decisions, particularly among families with young children.
