As she criticized Republicans for reportedly approving legislation outlawing such surgeries, Joy Behar gave the impression that she was okay with sex changes for adolescents.
“It’s not like they’re 80% of the population” Behar announced triumphantly during the conversation
The co-host of “The View” made the remarks on Wednesday’s episode while discussing the actor Elliot Page, once known as Ellen Page but now identifying as a male, new memoir.
The two debated GOP-led legislation that was enacted nationwide to prohibit children from having irreparable procedures.
“Why do you think the transgender community is being attacked like this? What is that about? I mean it’s not like they’re 80% of the population.” Behar asked Page.
Six years after coming out as a lesbian, Page revealed the actress was transgender in December 2020.
