In the event that he is ever assassinated by Iranian agents, former president and current Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump expressed a dying wish on Thursday afternoon.
Trump posted the following on Truth Social, in addition to a video of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
“If they do “assassinate President Trump,” which is always a possibility, I hope that America obliterates Iran, wipes it off the face of the Earth — If that does not happen, American Leaders will be considered “gutless” cowards!” Trump wrote on his Truth Social account.
Throughout his presidency, Trump and the Iranians were repeatedly at odds, as the former pursued a strategy of maximal pressure on the authoritarian, theocratic regime.
Not only did the former president withdraw from the so-called Iran nuclear agreement, but he also ordered the assassination of Qasem Soleimani, the terrorist general who oversaw the infamous Quds Force of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.
