Bill O’Reilly, the former anchor of Fox News, responded to the recent media criticism of Independent presidential candidate Robert F Kennedy Jr. by asserting that his campaign is “finished.”

“I told you from the very beginning that this was going nowhere. I told you; this was never going to work.” O’Reilly said.

He stated that Kennedy’s campaign was not well-managed and indicated that media interviews are less significant when one is “no longer a factor.” O’Reilly also acknowledged that the candidate’s prospects were bleak from the outset.

The pundit also asserted that Kennedy had initially agreed to appear on his program, but subsequently withdrew from the invitation.

“We’ve never had him on the ‘No Spin News,’ but we gave him an opportunity and he said yes. Then he backed out. I didn’t care. That was before he threw the bear in Central Park or I don’t know what he’s doing.” O’Reilly stated.

Kennedy was alluding to an incident that occurred in New York City more than a decade ago, during which he claimed to have disposed of a deceased bear cub in Central Park.

A photograph of him posing with a bear carcass was published earlier this month in response to a profile of the candidate in The New Yorker.

Kennedy’s polling has also experienced a decline in recent months, and he has been subjected to an increase in negative press. Kennedy’s polling numbers were in the double figures prior to President Biden’s decision not to seek reelection.

In the past few weeks, his numbers have plummeted to single digits as he continues to lose relevance for many voters.
