Karl Rove, the well-known Republican strategist, tried to use his infamous whiteboard on Friday to illustrate how Vice President Harris could gain the necessary momentum to “leave her in the lead” in the presidential contest by the conclusion of the Democratic convention.

“Five polls have been held since the 26 of July. He leads in only two. She leads in three. So I fully expect that the momentum she has is going to, is going to carry her through, unless it’s a disastrous vice presidential choice. This momentum is going to leave her in the lead at the end of the Democratic convention.” Rove claimed during

Rove also noted the decline in support for the former president over the past month in the average national Real Clear Politics survey.

Prior to the June debate, Trump led President Biden by three points. That lead against Harris had shrunk to about 0.8 points on Friday.

Rove also noted earlier in the week that Trump’s surveys are being released following the Republican convention.

“If you take those, those nine polls, it is Trump by 0.88. That’s basically nine-tenths of 1 percent. And that’s after he gets the bump coming out of the convention that really showed a unity for the Republican ticket in the Republican Party,” Rove said.

“And so this is going to be a barn burner, and it’s very much up for grabs, and the next two or three weeks are going to be critical for both camps,” he continued.

Since Biden withdrew from the contest and Harris emerged as the Democrats’ most likely nominee, Harris has been gradually undermining Trump’s momentum.

Rove also stated on Fox News on Monday that he thinks that since Harris was nominated, Trump has been placed in a “subordinate” position in comparison to her.
