Vladimir Putin is now warning that NATO would be “at war” with Russia if the West permits Kyiv to use longer-range armaments to strike the Russian homeland.

UK leader Keir Starmer is scheduled to visit Washington to meet with US President Joe Biden in order to negotiate the authorization for Ukraine to deploy long-range Storm Shadow missiles in response to Kyiv’s requests.

The Russian President maintained that his nation would make “appropriate decisions” in response to any threats it encounters, stating that war would be the likely consequence.

“If this decision is made, it will mean nothing other than the direct participation of NATO countries – the United States, European countries – in the war in Ukraine.” Putin stated.

“This is their direct participation and this already, of course, significantly changes the very essence, the very nature of the conflict.” he continued.

“This would mean that NATO countries – the United States and European countries – are at war with Russia.” Putin added.

“And if that is the case then, bearing in mind the change in the very essence of this conflict, we will take appropriate decisions based on the threats that will be posed to us.” he concluded.
