Officials reported Tuesday that Ukraine launched more than 140 drones on Russia overnight, killing a lady near Moscow, halting aircraft, and activating air defenses in numerous sections of the nation.

Russia’s defense ministry stated in a statement that it shot down 144 Ukrainian drones overnight, including ’72 UAVs over Bryansk region, 20 over Moscow region, 14 over Kursk region, 13 over Tula region’ and 25 more over five other parts of the nation.

In a Telegram post, Moscow regional governor Andrey Vorobyov stated that a 46-year-old lady was murdered and several others were injured after a UAV destroyed at least two high-rise apartment buildings in the Ramenskoye neighborhood of Moscow, around 30 miles southeast of the Kremlin.

Flames erupted from the windows of a multi-story residential complex, destroying hundreds of flats.

The raid is one of the largest drone assaults on Russia since the war began.
