In an interview on Friday, former President Trump reportedly expressed his dissatisfaction with Fox News for airing negative political advertisements that targeted him.

He stated that he would directly appeal to media mogul Rupert Murdoch to have the ads removed from the network.

“In the old days, you never played negative ads. In other words, when I leave here, I’ll then be hit by five or six ads,” Trump said during a recent in studio appearance.

“You mean Fox News?” host Brian Kilmeade asked.

“When I leave, I’ll have 12 people from Kamala on, and pretty much unopposed. For 19 days, I don’t think we should do that anymore. I think you shouldn’t play negative ads. It’s very tough.” Trump said.

“You do a show — and I complain all the time. I love complaining. I like to have everything perfect. But when I leave here … it’s sort of a net neutral.” he added.

Before departing the show’s signature couch, the former president announced that he intends to meet with Rupert Murdoch, the founder of Fox Corp. and the company’s longtime executive chair, on Friday to express his dissatisfaction with the network’s airing of ads that are critical of him, as well as the inclusion of a variety of guests on shows who are not supportive of him.

The Republican presidential nominee has been criticizing Fox, the highest-rated cable news channel, for months due to its coverage of him and programming.

Despite this, he is frequently featured on the channel for interviews, town halls, and other appearances.

In the past, he has also explicitly criticized Murdoch, referring to the billionaire as a “globalist” who is attempting to undermine him.

Last year, Murdoch, who is 93 years old, relinquished his position as chairman of Fox Corp and transferred control of the media company to his eldest son, Lachlan.
