Former President Trump reportedly stated that he “thinks” he will file a lawsuit against CBS for its “60 Minutes” interview with Vice President Harris, which he contends was deceptively edited.

The outlet has been criticized by Trump and his allies for broadcasting an abridged version of her conversation with journalist Bill Whitaker, which they claim was edited to enhance her image.

Polled voters were divided regarding whether the interview was edited to benefit Harris.

In its initial broadcast, CBS omitted portions of Harris’s response to a query regarding the conflict in Gaza. However, it subsequently made the entire transcript of her remarks available online.

On Thursday, the former president launched a social media campaign to request the release of the unedited interview recordings.

“So I think I’m going to sue them actually. I think so. No, you know what, they can’t defend it and if they do and even if they win it’s going to be very embarrassing,” Trump said during a recent interview with Dan Bongino.

“It’s a very embarrassing moment for them, but the media is not pressing it. It’s so bad they should lose their license and take ’60 Minutes’ off the air.” he added.

CBS reported that Trump withdrew from the “60 Minutes” interview earlier this month, despite having previously consented to the preelection special.

Trump also took to social media to blast the program.

“Why won’t 60 Minutes release the fraudulent tapes of Lyin’ Kamala’s Interview with them? Could it be because it was a COMPLETE AND TOTAL DISASTER, or that they “CREATED” many additional new answers for her, not just the one where she was so embarrassingly CAUGHT.” Trump wrote on his Truth Social network.

“In normal times, what happened on 60 Minutes, (deceptively “doctoring” her answers), would be THE END OF ANYONE’S CAMPAIGN! Kamala is slow, incoherent, and is in no way qualified to be President of the United States. RELEASE THE TAPES FOR THE GOOD OF AMERICA. We can do it the nice way, or the hard way!” he added.

Harris has been intensifying her criticisms of Trump’s physical and mental health, asserting that her opponent appears fatigued on the campaign trail.

Following the publication of her medical report by the vice president over the weekend, she encouraged Trump to follow suit.
