A new whistleblower who claims to have direct information about the matter is now alleging that Joe Biden was involved in his son Hunter’s international business ventures when he was Vice President.
This time the alleged activity was a gambling operation based in Latin America.
The whistleblower revealed themselves to Senate investigators but reportedly has requested anonymity out of fear of retaliation.
According to the informant, they were on a 2012 conference call with then-VP Joe Biden, Hunter Biden, his business partner Jeff Cooper, the late Senate majority leader Harry Reid, and his son Key Reid, who was also reportedly in business with Hunter.
According to the whistleblower, the Spring 2012 conversation was about Hunter, Key, and Jeff’s new endeavor into internet gambling in Latin America, and Joe was engaged on the call discussing aspects of the firm and looked to be involved, allegedly as a’silent partner.’
According to the person, during the alleged discussion, Joe inquired about income projections, when the company’s software would be available, and also congratulated Cooper on obtaining gaming licenses from the Peruvian government.
Aspects of the source’s story were confirmed using publicly available government documents and company filings.
The whistleblower also reportedly submitted papers, emails, and images to back up their story of working for Cooper and Hunter’s firm.
The whistleblower is the second individual to come forward are the second witness to Joe Biden’s involvement in his son’s overseas business operations, following Hunter’s former business partner Tony Bobulinski.
Hunter joined Cooper, a longstanding Biden family friend, at Cooper’s firm in 2010, trying to make transactions both at home and overseas, frequently leveraging their political ties.
Hunter and Cooper’s internet gaming firm, Ocho Global, was one of its offshoots.
The entity apparently did business in Mexico, Peru, Uruguay, and Argentina. Cooper’s email dated April 2011 stated a business valuation of roughly $30 million.
Emails recovered from Hunter’s abandoned laptop show Cooper discussing the company with Hunter and Key Reid, and show that they were looking for licensing to expand the Ocho brand throughout Latin America.
According to the source, they were on a conference call with Hunter, Cooper, and Key in the spring of 2012.
The insider was then taken aback when they heard the voices of then-Vice President Joe Biden and then-Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid join the call.
If, as the whistleblower says, Joe Biden profited from Ocho Global with Cooper and Hunter as Vice President, he failed to disclose it on either his government ethics filings or his tax returns.
