According to Stephen Miller, the incoming deputy head of policy, Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta, reportedly met with President-elect Trump on Wednesday at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida.
Miller stated that Zuckerberg has been hosting political meetings at his estate.
“Mark Zuckerberg, like so many business leaders, understand that President Trump is an agent of change, an agent of prosperity, and so business leaders, CEOs everywhere, they want to be an element, a supporter, a booster of making our economy prosperous, delivering for American workers and making sure that America is the most powerful, wealthiest, freest nation on the face of the earth,” Miller said during a recent appearance on Fox News.
After previous disagreements, Zuckerberg is the most recent CEO of a technology company to make an effort to repair his ties with the former president.
After his posts questioned the results of the 2020 election, Facebook, which is a subset of the Meta social platforms, banned the former president for a period of two years. The reason for this ban was allegedly that Facebook deemed him a “risk to public safety.”
Donald Trump referred to the ban as a “insult.”
“They shouldn’t be allowed to get away with this censoring and silencing, and ultimately, we will win. Our Country can’t take this abuse anymore!” Trump had claimed.
In spite of the fact that Trump is returning to the White House with a stringent agenda that may include banning major media sites and gathering more users on his own social platform, Truth Social, where he frequently delivers world events, Zuckerberg is actively attempting to win over Trump’s favor three years after he was elected president.
