Sweden has reportedly now distributed five million pamphlets to its citizens, advising them to accumulate food and water due to the increased risk of nuclear war due to the Biden administration’s recent decision to green light Ukrainian attacks against targets deep within Russia with U.S. weapons.
This announcement was made just hours after Volodymyr Zelensky issued an ominous video threat to Vladimir Putin, in which he warned that the coming US missile strikes “will speak for themselves.”
The Stockholm government has revised its “If crisis or war comes” document from six years ago in response to the deteriorating security situation that has resulted from Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
It occurs concurrently with the authorization by Washington for the use of US missiles to conduct strikes within Russian territory for the first time.
Residents of Sweden have now been advised to seek refuge in the event of a nuclear conflict.
The pamphlet, which has been published only five times since World War II, is twice the size of previous years.
In the event of war, Norwegians were also issued a pamphlet that encouraged them to operate independently for a week.
During the summer, Denmark’s emergency management agency confirmed that it was sending emails to Danish adults regarding the necessary food, water, and medication to endure a crisis for a length of three days.
The inventory of items to be stored at home included long-life foods, such as tins of beans, energy bars, pasta, and medicines, in readiness for a nuclear attack.
Tensions between Russia and the United States have never been higher in wake of Biden’s decision.
