Jimmy Kimmel, the late-night host, openly wept on Wednesday in response to Donald Trump’s incredible victory in the 2024 election.
He declared that it was a “terrible day” for all Americans, regardless of whether they voted for Trump.
Kimmel, like other late-night presenters, is a fervent anti-Trumper who frequently ridicules the former and future president in mean-spirited monologues and sketches and has also viciously mocked his supporters in the past.
“It was a terrible night for women, for children, for the hundreds of thousands of hard-working immigrants who make this country go, for health care, for our climate, for science, for journalism, for justice, for free speech,” Kimmel blubbered.

“I’ve been trying to come up with something positive, the best I can come up with is we’ve been through this once before and yes this time it’s probably gonna be worse, maybe a lot worse,” he added.
Kimmel’s joked that Trump supporters should vote after Election Day in the run up to the election.
