On Friday night, Grand Central Terminal was besieged by hundreds of anti-Israel protesters demanding the abolition of the Jewish state.
In a fit of rage, they smashed and kicked at a closed entrance of the station, which was forced to close temporarily due to the disorderly demonstration.
As an element of the “Flood Manhattan for Gaza” demonstration, the mob initially gathered at Columbus Circle in the early hours of the day.
There, they torched an Israeli flag and mocked a small group of counter-demonstrators before advancing through Manhattan and smearing fabricated blood onto the New York Times building.
A pro-Israel woman was accosted by a number of demonstrators while she attempted to hold back tears while an NYPD officer spoke with her hand over her mouth.
“Palestine will be free,” “Cease apartheid,” “Cease funding Israel,” and “Cease imperialism” were among the slogans that the protesters displayed on the Museum of Modern Art prior to their march towards Times Square.
As a result of the group’s southward turn and subsequent rage at two Starbucks locations on Madison Avenue and Sixth Avenue, employees at one location were compelled to secure the doors.
According to the health ministry operated by Hamas, the number of Palestinian casualties in Gaza since Israel’s response to Hamas’ Oct. 7 surprise attack, which resulted in the deaths of approximately 1,200 Israelis, has surpassed 11,000.
