On Thursday, CNN analyst Van Jones reportedly issued a terrible prediction about President Joe Biden’s performance in the debate next week.
Biden and former President Donald Trump’s first debate of the 2024 cycle will be the “entire election,” Jones said on a CNN panel.
Jones remarked that the “entire world will be watching,” the upcoming debate, “if Biden goes out there and messes up, it’s game over.” he continued.
“If he walks out there and a week later he’s lower in the polls, it’s panic in the party.” Jones added.
Polls show a close tie between Biden and Trump going into the debate, which will air on CNN next Thursday evening.
Jones, who formerly served as former President Barack Obama’s environmental adviser, also expressed his thoughts on what might happen if Biden does well in the debate.
“If he goes in there and he can handle himself against Donald Trump, a runaway train, a locomotive, a raging bull, then this guy deserves another shot to be president, because that is tough,” Jones said.
