Israel Police and the Shin Bet announced on Monday that seven Israelis were apprehended on suspicion of espionage for Iran.

Prosecutors claim that the suspects executed approximately 600 missions for Iran, which included the identification of potential human targets and the collection of intelligence on sensitive military and infrastructure sites.

Ramat David Airbase, Nevatim Airbase, Glilot, and the Golani Brigade base were among the sites that were purportedly involved in their alleged espionage.

Last week, a Hezbollah drone attack resulted in the deaths of four soldiers at the Golani Brigade base.

The seven suspects, who are Jewish Israelis of Azeri descent from Haifa and its bayside suburbs, have been in detention for approximately 35 days.

Some of the suspects are relatives, while one is an AWOL soldier. Police have reported that two of the individuals are juveniles.

It is anticipated that charges will include aiding the enemy during conflict, which are expected to be issued by the end of the week.

Additionally, the accused are suspected of gathering intelligence on numerous Israeli citizens. Israel Police reported that a number of them were apprehended by police while they were conducting an intelligence operation on an Israeli citizen whom Israeli security officials suspected Iran was attempting to harm.

According to reports, the parties initiated communication approximately two years ago.

The perpetrators were purportedly compensated with hundreds of thousands of dollars, with the payments being channeled through Russian intermediaries who traveled to Israel.

In the course of the investigation, there were also numerous documents confiscated by the police.
