As part of an apparent crowdfunding scheme, a website on the dark web is now reportedly soliciting funds to assassinate President-elect Donald Trump.

Two weeks ago, the website “Destroy Trump” was launched on the dark web.

It asserts that it has already raised $13,245 of its $30,000 objective.

The anonymous author of the website asserts that they possess the “appropriate skills,” the “appropriate acquaintances,” and a “plan” to execute the assassination.

“Trump is bullsh*t. Trump is the death of America. I can help. I am terminally ill. I’m going to die soon. I want to do something good for this country and for this world. I want to kill Trump.“ the message reads.

Two cryptocurrency addresses are provided below the message for users to donate either Bitcoin or Minero.

The public ledger for both purses indicates that no funds have been transferred to either, despite the site’s assertions to the contrary.

The website’s launch follows a series of near calls for Trump over the past year.

Trump was shot and wounded in his upper right ear during an assassination attempt at a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania in July.

In September, Secret Service officers shot a potential assassin who was observed with a rifle in the shrubbery at Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, Florida.

The dark web, a portion of the internet that is exclusively accessible to individuals who possess specialized software and web browsers, is rife with such schemes, including those that involve hirable “hitmen.”
