Elon Musk, the richest man in the world and the chairman of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), reportedly made a suggestion on Friday that the journalist from The Wall Street Journal who was responsible for finding racist tweets posted by a DOGE employee should be terminated.
In an article that was published on Thursday, Katherine Long of the Journal said that a key DOGE staff member who had gotten access to the central-payments system of the Treasury Department withdrew his resignation on Thursday.
After the White House was questioned by The Wall Street Journal over his connection to anonymous social media account, Marko Elez, who is 25 years old and is a member of a group of lieutenants of Elon Musk who are being deployed by the Department of Government Efficiency to investigate federal spending, resigned from his position from the department.
This was due to the fact that he was linked to a social media account that had been removed, which pushed for eugenics and racism.
Considering that Elez has been dismissed from his position at DOGE, it would appear that Musk is on a quest to punish Long for revealing that he holds controversial beliefs.
