Former President Donald Trump has now reportedly issued stern threats against CBS following a recent episode of “60 Minutes” that he claims misrepresented his administration’s actions regarding the Russia-Ukraine war and its alleged intentions toward Greenland.

In a series of posts on Truth Social, Trump accused the program of using “deceitful editing” and called for CBS to lose its broadcasting license.

Trump’s comments were triggered by an episode featuring Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, who criticized Trump and Vice President JD Vance’s comments in the Oval Office.

Zelensky invited Trump to visit Ukraine to personally observe the ongoing devastation caused by the war.

The episode also included segments about the Greenland issue, where local residents expressed their disapproval of Trump’s past interest in purchasing the territory.

The former president, who is currently engaged in a $20 billion lawsuit against CBS, condemned the network for how it has covered him, alleging that “almost every week” it mentions his name in a derogatory manner.

He claimed that the network should face significant punitive measures, urging the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to take action against CBS for their reporting.

Despite Trump’s calls for CBS to be punished, he did not specify any legal violations on the network’s part.

The FCC, which regulates broadcast licenses, operates independently, and the process for revoking a license involves extensive legal scrutiny.

This isn’t the first time Trump has criticized media outlets for their coverage.

He previously challenged NBC and other networks, maintaining a consistent narrative that mainstream media is biased against him.

The ongoing conflict between Trump and the media continues to highlight the contentious relationship that former presidents often have with news organizations.
