President Donald Trump delivered a pointed Christmas message celebrating what he described as sweeping victories for the country, while also sharing warm and humorous moments during traditional holiday calls with children.
In a Christmas greeting posted publicly, Trump wished “Merry Christmas to all,” including what he called the “Radical Left Scum” who he said are trying and failing to destroy the country. The president framed the message as both celebratory and defiant, listing what he described as major accomplishments under his leadership.
Trump said the United States no longer has open borders, men competing in women’s sports, blanket transgender policies, or weak law enforcement. In their place, he said, Americans are seeing tangible results: a record stock market, booming 401(k) accounts, the lowest crime numbers in decades, and an economy firing on all cylinders.
He pointed to what he described as the absence of inflation and highlighted fresh economic data, including a 4.3 percent GDP figure that he said exceeded expectations by two points. Trump also credited tariffs for generating trillions of dollars in growth and prosperity, arguing that they strengthened the economy while bolstering national security.
According to Trump, the country is now enjoying the strongest national security it has ever had and has regained global respect. He closed the message on a patriotic note, declaring, “God Bless America.”
The president’s holiday spirit was also on display during calls with children, a long-standing White House Christmas tradition. While speaking with young callers, Trump mixed encouragement with his trademark humor.
On one call, Trump spoke with a child from Pennsylvania and told him he has a fondness for the state. “We won Pennsylvania, actually, three times,” Trump said. In reality, Trump won the state twice in the three general elections held between 2016 and 2024. As the child shared his Christmas wish list, Trump responded confidently, telling him, “Well, you’ll get all of it,” as the boy’s mother listened in.
Another call brought a moment of levity when a young girl told the president she did not want coal for Christmas. Trump laughed and briefly turned the moment into a tongue-in-cheek energy lesson.
“No, you don’t want — well, coal is — you mean clean, beautiful coal,” Trump joked. “I had to do that, I’m sorry.” He continued playfully, insisting that coal is “clean and beautiful” and asking her to remember that “at all costs,” before acknowledging that coal was not on her wish list.
The exchange drew laughter and underscored the president’s ability to blend policy messaging with humor, even in conversations with children.
Taken together, Trump’s Christmas message and calls painted a picture of a president eager to highlight what he views as a transformed country, one marked by economic strength, tougher enforcement, and renewed confidence at home and abroad.
At the same time, the lighter moments offered a reminder of the traditional role presidents play during the holidays, connecting with families and spreading cheer, even as political battles continue.
The combination of sharp rhetoric, economic boasting, and lighthearted banter reflected Trump’s signature style — unapologetic, confident, and unfiltered — as he closed out the year with a message aimed squarely at supporters and critics alike.
