Former Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro has reportedly been airlifted to a hospital in the United States.

According to reports, the 67-year-old was brought to a hospital in Orlando, Florida, with significant stomach discomfort.

He was reportedly brought to AdventHealth Celebration, an acute care hospital.

A source close to his family stated his condition was not alarming in spite of the dramatic airlift.

After being stabbed in the stomach while campaigning in 2018, the far-right ex-president has reportedly been hospitalized many times for abdominal discomfort.

A man walked up to him and knifed him in the stomach while he was being carried through a mob on the shoulders of a fan in Rio de Janeiro.

Bolsonaro visited the United States two days before Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva took office as president on January 1.

On October 30, he was beaten by Lula in the second round of the presidential election, forcing him to leave office.

The news reportedly comes in the wake of riots in the Brazilian capital which saw mobs storm government buildings in events that many are comparing to the events of January 6th in the United States.

Supporters of Bolsonaro protested throughout the capitol over allegations the election which saw Bolsonaro’s left-wing opponent win the presidency was fraudulent.
