AT&T experienced extensive outages nationwide on Thursday morning, affecting both cellular service and internet connectivity, as reported by Downdetector.
Verizon and T-Mobile customers experienced outages, with both companies stating that the impacted individuals were attempting to reach AT&T users.
Approximately 32,000 AT&T service disruptions were reported by customers around 4 a.m. ET on Thursday.
There was a decrease in reports followed by a sudden increase to over 50,000 around 7 a.m., with the majority of issues reported in Houston, Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, and Atlanta, as per the site.
The figure skyrocketed to over 71,000 shortly before 8 a.m. ET.
As of 7 a.m. Thursday, there were over 1,100 reported T-mobile outages and approximately 3,000 Verizon outages.
The cause of the service disruption remains uncertain.
Reports suggest the company is making headway in restoring service.
Cricket Wireless, a subsidiary of AT&T utilizing their network, is currently facing service disruptions. Over 13,500 customers had reported outages by 8 a.m.
ET on Thursday morning. By 10 a.m., the number had decreased to around 10,000.
