Lance Reddick, the actor who rose to prominence with his nuanced and powerful portrayal as Lt. Cedric Daniels in the groundbreaking HBO drama The Wire, has now reportedly passed away. He was 60 years old.
On Friday, the corpse of the actor was found at the residence he shared in Studio City.
Reddick had just finished promoting John Wick: Chapter 4, the most current film in the Keanu Reeves trilogy, in which he portrayed Charon, the hotel concierge of The Continental Hotel, which served as a nexus for New York’s criminal underworld.
In addition to his work in film, the actor was well-known for his roles on the television shows Fringe, Bosch, and Lost.
The death of the actor occurred just a few weeks before the March 24 premiere of the fourth John Wick movie.
Reddick is survived by his children Yvonne Nicole Reddick and Christopher Reddick, as well as his wife Stephanie Reddick.
