Vice President JD Vance recently dismissed former President Joe Biden’s criticisms regarding the Trump administration’s handling of the Ukraine-Russia conflict.
In an interview with the BBC, Biden described a controversial White House meeting between President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky as “beneath America,” labeling Trump’s approach to Russia as “modern-day appeasement.”
Vance countered Biden’s remarks during an appearance on Fox News, stating, “It’s rich for Joe Biden to comment on anything we’re doing when it comes to Russia and Ukraine because, of course, under Biden’s administration, Russia launched the full-scale invasion of Ukraine.”

He emphasized that Biden is not a credible source on foreign policy, particularly concerning Europe, suggesting that the current administration’s actions have led to significant issues for the United States.
Vance’s comments included his signature phrase, “I don’t really care,” which he previously used in discussions about Afghan refugees.
He remarked, “If we just did the opposite of what Joe Biden did, I think we’d have one of the most successful foreign policy administrations in a very long time.”
He concluded by saying Biden could spend his time “on the beach” while his administration would focus on addressing the problems created during Biden’s presidency.
Earlier that day, Trump had provided an update on his administration’s efforts to negotiate a ceasefire in the Ukraine conflict, expressing concern over the loss of young soldiers and emphasizing the need for peace.
He stated his commitment to working with European allies to secure a lasting peace agreement, highlighting the urgency of the situation.
