In what he termed a “emergency broadcast” on Saturday, conspiracy theorist Alex Jones asserted that the facilities of his far-right news organization, Infowars, in Austin, Texas, may be shut down by federal authorities in the near future.

“This is going to be Infowars’ last show, because I learned yesterday that they were going to padlock the door and kick us out last night,”  Jones said during his most recent show.

On the same day, Friday, May 31, the news outlet published an article indicating that it may be shut down within 48 hours.

Jones stated that he observed guards looking at him “weird” at the entrance of the Infowars building and was under the impression that his company was about to be closed.

The host of Infowars claimed that he had all the necessary evidence to substantiate the alleged attempt to close down his studios.

However, he appeared uncertain that the event would actually transpire.

Jones alleged that the deep state was moving to shut down Infowars after allegedly targeting Donald Trump, who was found guilty on Thursday by a New York jury of 34 counts of falsifying business records over a hush money payment made to adult film star Stormy Daniels ahead of the 2016 presidential election.

Jones is currently confronted with substantial legal expenses as a result of his 2022 order to pay nearly $1.5 billion for referring to the 2012 Sandy Hook school massacre in Connecticut as a hoax.
