Marjorie Taylor Greene’s husband has now reportedly filed for divorce from the famous 48-year-old Republican congresswoman from Georgia.
Perry Greene, the spouse Majorie Taylor Greene for over three decades, filed for divorce from his wife on Tuesday, just a few weeks before the November midterm elections. The couple has three children who are now all adults.
Although the divorce filings do not mention specifically what caused the couple’s breakup, Perry Greene mentioned in the filing that the couple had been separated previously.
Greene was still a student at the University of Georgia when the couple met in August of 1995.
Perry Greene’s divorce petition asks for an equitable distribution of the couple’s assets and debts. According to the application, he and Marjorie had already divorced.
“Marriage is a wonderful thing and I’m a firm believer in it. Our society is formed by a husband and wife creating a family to nurture and protect. Together, Perry and I formed our family and raised three great kids. He gave me the best job title you can ever earn: Mom. I’ll always be grateful for how great of a dad he is to our children” Greene said in a response to an inquiry from TMZ.
Greene, who has served Georgia’s 14th district since 2021, has been one of the most outspokenly pro-Trump members of Congress and has repeatedly courted controversy due to her brash and confrontational style.
