A Detroit woman who was the board president of a synagogue and had close ties to Michigan Democrats was discovered dead on Saturday morning after being stabbed.
Samantha Woll, 40, is the president of Isaac Agree Downtown Detroit Synagogue and previously worked for Democratic Attorney General Dana Nessel and Congresswoman Elissa Slotkin (D-MI).
She has held this post since last year.
Around 6:30 a.m. on Saturday, she was discovered outside her home with multiple stab wounds. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police are conducting an investigation, although they have not yet identified a motive or detained anyone.
Authorities claimed they discovered a blood trail that went from Woll’s body to her house, where they suspect the crime was committed.
In the days following Hamas’ terrorist attack on Israel on October 7, there has been an increase in anti-Semitic threats and harassment across the United States.
