Twitter CEO Elon Musk stated on Friday that if Republican Florida Governor Ron DeSantis decides to run for president in 2024, he will support him.
Musk made the comments on his social media platform in response to a tweet about how the political Left exploded in outrage when he allowed former President Donald Trump to return to the site after he was banned in January 2021.
Musk tipped his cap to DeSantis as the man he wants to see become the next president in June, but stopped short of a complete support at that moment.
Musk made the announcement after expressing his support for the Republican candidate who was victorious in south Texas on Tuesday night.
Musk answered “DeSantis” when asked online who he was leaning toward supporting in the 2024 presidential race.
