Body Found in the Wheel Well of A United Airlines Flight to Hawaii

According to United Airlines, a body was reportedly discovered on a wheel well of a flight that landed in Maui, Hawaii, on Tuesday. The arrival of the flight was reported by the carrier.

A Boeing 787-10 flew the passengers on their journey. Flight 202 of the airline took off from Chicago O’Hare International Airport at approximately 9:31 a.m. local time and arrived at Kahului Airport at approximately 2:12 p.m. local time, following a flight that lasted over nine hours.

“The wheel well was only accessible from outside of the aircraft. At this time, it is not clear how or when the person accessed the wheel well,” United Airlines said in a statement.

“United is working with law enforcement authorities on the investigation,” it added.

In a statement to Hawaii News Now, the Maui Police Department stated that they are currently conducting an investigation.

In response to the probe, United stated that it is cooperating with the authorities.
