According to a new study, over 80% of American voters now feel that adolescents should be compelled to wait until they are adults before undergoing transgender ‘transition’ treatments.
In October, the Convention of States Action interviewed over 1,000 prospective 2022 election voters in collaboration with The Trafalgar Group.
When the respondents were asked if underage kids should be obliged to wait until they are adults to utilize puberty blockers and undergo irreversible sex change surgeries, 78.7% of all respondents ( a group that included Democrats, Republicans, and non-partisan affiliations) answered they should wait.
The vast majority of Republican and independent voters are opposed to gender transition therapies for kids, while Democrats are divided.
Minors should wait until they are adults, according to 96.8% of Republican voters, 84.6% of independent voters, and 53.2% of Democrats.
Surprisingly, 92.3% of 18 to 24-year-old respondents believed that kids should wait until they are adults to transition medically.
Furthermore, 62.8% of those aged 25 to 34, 77.4% of those aged 35 to 44, 78.5% of those aged 45 to 64, and 80.4% of those aged 65 and above all agreed that medical transition should be left to adults.
In terms of ethnicity demographics, 100% of Asians, 73.4% of Hispanics, 80.6% of black voters, 78.4% of white voters, and 80.2% of unspecified ethnicity respondents all agreed that kids should be made to wait until they are adults to get transgender therapies.
The polling results will likely be seen as bad news for Democrats, who have become increasingly vocal about the issue in recent years.
