A prominent voice within the MAGA movement is turning up the heat on the Trump Justice Department, accusing top officials of failing to deliver accountability in the wake of the Jeffrey Epstein document release.
Shawn Ryan, a MAGA podcaster and former Navy SEAL who backed President Donald Trump’s 2024 campaign, took to X on Monday to air his frustrations in a fiery video aimed squarely at Attorney General Pam Bondi and the Department of Justice.
Ryan’s criticism came after Bondi appeared before the House Judiciary Committee, where lawmakers pressed her on questions surrounding Trump’s past affiliation with Epstein. During the hearing, Bondi pushed back forcefully against the line of questioning and at one point touted the Dow Jones Industrial Average, saying it was “up 50,000” under Trump.
Ryan made clear he was unimpressed.
“Nobody gives a f*ck,” Ryan said in the video, arguing that the focus should instead be on investigating and prosecuting individuals connected to Epstein’s crimes. He criticized what he characterized as a lack of urgency in pursuing those who may have been involved, saying the American people deserved answers about “how you are going to investigate and prosecute any pedophiles that are running around on Epstein Island that you’re affiliated with.”
Ryan also mocked what he described as an excuse that prosecuting everyone involved would cause the system to collapse. He compared that reasoning to Trump’s signature campaign promise to “drain the swamp,” suggesting that the moment represented a prime opportunity to follow through on that pledge.
“Well, you know what that sounds like?” Ryan said. “That sounds like how Trump ran his campaign: ‘Let’s drain the swamp.’”
In an apparent broadside against the administration as a whole, Ryan questioned whether the “drain the swamp” message had been sincere, claiming that campaign promises were stacking up as broken commitments.
His anger was not limited to the Justice Department. Ryan also criticized administration officials for attacking Rep. Ro Khanna, D-Calif., and Rep. Thomas Massie, R-Ky., whose support for a discharge petition helped secure the release of the Epstein documents. Ryan defended the two lawmakers, saying they were trying to do the job of the entire Department of Justice when it came to holding wrongdoers accountable.
“They’re trying to do the job of the entire Department of Justice because nobody over there will do their job when it comes to putting pedophiles away in prison,” he said.
Ryan further took aim at members of Congress who have publicly expressed shock over what they saw in the unredacted Epstein files made available to lawmakers. He urged them to bring their findings to the floors of their respective chambers, where speech is protected, and press the issue in a formal setting.
“So here’s a tip. Get to work. Permission granted!” he said.
In the closing moments of his rant, Ryan pivoted to former President Barack Obama, referencing a recent podcast appearance in which Obama said aliens were “real.” Ryan questioned the timing of those remarks, arguing that such comments were a distraction amid what he described as one of the largest scandals in the country.
His message underscored growing frustration among some conservative voices who say the Epstein fallout demands sweeping transparency and accountability — and who are now demanding action, not headlines.
