New Poll Shows Trump Leading Biden By 20 Points on Economy

According to a new national NBC News poll, President Biden lagged behind former President Trump on key policy comparisons, including the question of which candidate would handle the economy better, by more than 20 points.

A 16-point majority of respondents believed Trump to be more competent and effective than Biden in this regard.

In addition, Trump enjoyed a 23-point advantage over Biden in terms of possessing the requisite mental and physical well-being to assume the presidency.

At 37 percent, Biden currently has the lowest approval rating of his presidency, according to the poll.

Respondents favored Trump on a variety of policy contrasts, including immigration, crime, and violence management, according to the survey.

In the contest of who would be more effective at border security and immigration control, Biden lagged behind Trump by 35 points.

However, in terms of who would preserve immigrant rights and treat immigrants humanely, Biden led by 17 points. Furthermore, a majority of respondents (21 points) believed that Trump would manage crime and violence more effectively than Biden.

Additionally, sixty percent of registered voters disapprove of Biden’s handling of the Israel-Hamas conflict in Gaza, according to the survey.

A mere 36% of the participants expressed approval with Biden’s approach to the economy, while 34% endorsed his stance on foreign policy.

When queried about the candidate who would safeguard democracy more effectively, Biden held a marginal two-point advantage over Trump.

Biden also held a 12-point advantage over Trump in their stance on abortion.

On the final question of the survey, which inquired about the candidate that respondents would support in the event that Trump is convicted of a felony this year, Biden surged ahead.

In this instance, 45% of respondents said they would vote for Biden, while 43% said they would vote for Trump.

Participating in the survey from January 26-30 were one thousand registered electors in total. The margin of error for the survey was 3.1 percentage points.
