At the Howard University graduation ceremony on Saturday, President Joe Biden reportedly inflamed racial tensions by asserting that “white supremacy” poses the biggest threat to the United States.
Then, Biden warned grads to be vigilant against what he sees as our country’s biggest peril.
“The most dangerous terrorist threat to our homeland is white supremacy. And I’m not saying this because I’m at a Black HBCU. I say it wherever I go.” Biden said in his speech.
The president of the Democratic Party also took a subtle jab at his rival, former President Donald Trump.
“Let’s be clear: There are those who don’t see you and don’t want this future. There are those who demonize and pit people against one another. And there are those who do anything and everything, no matter how desperate or immoral, to hold onto power. And that’s never going to be an easy battle.” He continued.
The president made an effort to uplift the graduates by claiming that they represented the future of America.
