According to a new report Florida Rep.-elect Anna Paulina Luna is now seeking an apology and retraction from rival Matt Tito over his claims that she is a “witch” and also had a sexual encounter with Florida Congressman Matt Gaetz.
Luna, who was elected to Florida’s 13th congressional district in November 2022, has hired the legal firm Holland & Knight.
According to a letter acquired by the site, Luna’s attorneys are demanding Tito apologize publicly for his statements.
Tito made the charges on the Bubba the Love Sponge radio show in August 2022, after considering running against Luna in the Republican primary.
According to the publication, the letter demands that Tito either make a public apology and retraction on the Bubba the Love Sponge Show or hand over a video statement to Luna, who would publish it on her social network.
When pressed on the issue on Capitol Hill on Tuesday, Luna declined to respond.
Luna later uploaded a video of her conversation with a reporter, labeling it sexual harassment.
Tito claims he believed he first heard about Luna stories from Hispanics for Trump associate Paloma Zuniga, who supposedly suggested Luna casts spells on people.
Tito claims he has not responded to Luna’s lawyer’s letter.
