After more than 20 years with the network, John Finley, a senior Fox News executive, was reportedly fired last week. He was reportedly let go after a woman accused him of stalking and sexually harassing her.
Streaming service Fox Nation, which Finley formerly oversaw, is where the woman worked on projects before publicly filing her claims with Fox, according to sources.
After conducting an extensive investigation with the help of a renowned outside legal firm, the network and the woman ultimately struck an undisclosed settlement.
The lady said that Finley hounded her persistently and wouldn’t stop contacting her, according to a source familiar with her claims.
He was fired, according to a second source familiar with the investigation’s conclusions, not for sexual harassment but rather for failing to uphold Fox’s standards of professional behavior.
Conflict of interest, improper use of his position to assist a person over whom he had power, and business ethics were among the principles that were broken, the source claimed.
Finley allegedly pursued romantic relationships with subordinates while working for the network, according to numerous persons who knew him.
Among these relationships was one he had with a Fox employee, whom he married before divorcing.
