Elon Musk has reportedly intensified his feud with top Trump trade adviser Peter Navarro through a series of fiery posts on X, including blunt remarks calling Navarro a “moron.”

The conflict escalated following Navarro’s comments on CNBC, where he critiqued Musk, claiming, “He’s not a car manufacturer — he’s a car assembler” referring to Tesla’s reliance on foreign parts for electric vehicles.

Navarro’s remarks specifically mentioned that many components, such as batteries, are sourced from Japan and China, creating a narrative that Musk’s claims about American manufacturing may be misleading.

This prompted Musk to respond assertively on Tuesday, labeling Navarro a “moron” and asserting that Navarro’s statements were “demonstrably false.”

Musk continued his posts, deriding Navarro as “dumber than a sack of bricks” while claiming that Tesla produces the most American-made cars and is the most vertically integrated auto manufacturer in the U.S.

He mockingly suggested Navarro consults his fictional expert, Ron Vara, further emphasizing his disdain. Musk’s last jab deemed Navarro as “Peter Retarrdo,” which caught attention on the platform.

The feud stems from ongoing tensions surrounding trade policy and tariffs, with Navarro suggesting Musk’s skepticism about tariffs may be driven by self-interest as a car manufacturer.

Despite Navarro’s efforts to downplay the rift, asserting that they could have differing opinions without a personal conflict, Musk’s vigorous counterattacks indicate otherwise.

This ongoing exchange highlights discord not only between Musk and Navarro but also reflects broader debates within Trump’s circle regarding trade practices and American manufacturing integrity, escalating tensions in the political climate.
