Antifa in Portland Oregon were reportedly jubilant after a group of masked vandals attacked a minority owned coffee shop in the city for the apparent crime of daring to hold a pro-police event.
The event in question was entitled ‘Coffee with a Cop’ and was scheduled to take place on Wednesday.
Inside the coffee shop windows were smashed and a fire extinguisher was discharged all over the interior of the cafe.
The owners of cafe reportedly refused to give up holding the event and it went forward as planned in spite of the damage.
According to a GoFundMe set up by the owners of the cafe, damage from the attack included the spray painting of priceless native American artwork.
While no suspects have yet been named, an police investigation has been opened into the attack.
Embattled Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler went on to claim that if the vandals were caught he would ensure they were prosecuted ‘to the fullest extent of the law.’
