The Wall Street Journal says that according to recently made public papers, William Burns, the CIA director chosen by Biden, reportedly had repeated meetings with dead businessman and sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein following his conviction for sex offenses in Florida.
According to the report, Epstein booked three meetings with Burns in 2014 while Burns served as the deputy secretary of state under President Obama, according to the private calendar and emails.
According to the records, their first meeting was scheduled for August at Steptoe & Johnson’s office in Washington, DC, and their next two meetings were scheduled for Epstein’s apartment in Manhattan, New York. After one of the meetings, Epstein intended to have Burns taken back to the airport.
According to a CIA spokeswoman, Burns claims he met Epstein as he was getting ready to depart the government and had no prior knowledge of him.
Burns resigned from the government in October 2014 to take the helm of the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, a renowned Washington, DC-based think institution for international affairs.
In 2021, President Biden selected him to be the CIA’s director. He is a career diplomat who was formerly ambassador to Russia from 2005 to 2008.
Epstein was a notorious financier who committed suicide in jail in 2019 after being accused with trafficking in children for sex and having been found guilty of sex offenses in 2008. Epstein committed horrendous crimes, including the abuse of underage females for his personal amusement.
Due to Epstein’s connections to numerous well-known figures in politics, business, and entertainment, including several prominent liberals, his case has received a lot of media attention.
Epstein has been associated with the former president Bill Clinton due to records proving that Clinton had traveled on Epstein’s personal aircraft and allegedly visited his private island.
Epstein also had connections to Prince Andrew and other members of the British royal family.
