Ukrainian Volodymyr Zelensky has now reportedly urged the performance artist Marina Abramovic to serve as an ambassador for Ukraine.
Ms. Abramovi, a liberal activist, performance artist, and fervent opponent of Vladimir Putin, has stated that the Ukrainian president had requested her assistance.
The 76-year-old Serbian is the first female artist to have a major show in the Main Galleries of the Royal Academy of Arts in London, where she is conducting her first solo exhibition in the United Kingdom.
To access the new exhibition, visitors must squeeze between two naked models or bypass what one journalist termed the “naked gates.”
Abramović gained a significant amount of public infamy after it was revealed she was involved with a number of high profile Democrat political influencers, a group which included Tony Podesta, in staging what she referred to as a ‘spirit cooking’ dinner.
Critics at the time insinuated that the bizarre ritual indicated that Abramovic was communing with or attempting to summon dark forces.
For her part Abramović has, at least in public, denied being a ‘satanist’ and attempted to explain away the strange incident as a ‘joke.’
