On Friday, Kayleigh McEnany, a former press secretary for the White House, reportedly said that the existence of the “deep state” was confirmed by the 2020 letter from former CIA officers on Hunter Biden’s laptop.
“If you’re a Democrat, guess who your campaign surrogates are? They’re not like people you pedal in the media, they’re not influencers, although you get those too if you’re a TikTok star in [the] Biden administration. Your campaign surrogates are intelligence officials.That’s what we learned, that [Antony] Blinken, the guy that goes on to become secretary of state, is organizing a letter of former intel officials.” McEnany said.
“So if you have a D behind your name, Democrat, you get this high-profile, highly-connected group of people in Washington, former officials, current officials who will band together, write a letter on your behalf, you got guys like Brennan, Panetta, Clapper, the media will fully buy into the letter and social media will ban anyone that says otherwise or questions it,” she continued.
A bombshell New York Post revelation concerning emails from a laptop allegedly abandoned by Hunter Biden was the subject of a letter from dozens of retired intelligence officials, which Politico published in October 2020.
The letter claimed, without any evidence, that the news had all the hallmarks of a Russian information operation.
Twitter blocked a number of accounts for publishing the October 14, 2020 story, including the New York Post’s and McEnany’s personal account.
According to documents Elon Musk sent to the journalist Michael Shellenberger, the FBI alerted Twitter of the possibility of Hunter Biden leaks before the New York Post published its story, in spite of the fact that the laptop story later proved to be completely legitimate.
